In another forum, someone suggested to a user who didn't have a floppy or CD-Rom to take the HDD out of his laptop, set it as a slave and put it into his desktop and copy files that way (he wanted to trasfer a large amount of data)
This struck me as odd, because I had illusions that they would have diffferent voltage requirements. Am I off base, or can the laptop HD be used in a desktop?
Thanks for your attention!
