I want to upgrade my PC with an IBM IC35L (ATA100, 40GB) and have the following questions:
I use an ASUS P2B-B (Intel 440BX-Chipset, newest BIOS-revision) which has an onboard IDE-Controller using the ATA33 Interface.
The actual Information on the ASUS-Website say, that I can use Harddisks bigger than 64GB with my BIOS-revision.
My question is: Can I CONNECT this Harddisk to my Motherboard? (ATA100 Disk on an ATA33-Controller)
My second question is the following:
I'm actually using 3 old IBM-SCSI-Harddisks (1GB, 2GB, 2GB) with an Adaptec SCSI-Controller.
I plan to use the new IDE-Disk as drive c: (Bootdisk).
I don't want to reinstall my whole system so I want to copy the contents of my SCSI-Drive c: to the new one.
What do I need to do this? (the new IDE-Disk must be bootable!)
Thanks a lot for your answers
