: I am trying to intall a new SCSI drive in a Power Mac 7300. Mac's Disk Setup says that the drive is unsupported, so I cannot initialize it. Does anyone know a way to initialize this drive?
You need to use a third party utilities program such as Lacie utilities to initialize it. For some reason Mac utilities don't support all HD's. Also, make sure you have 8.6 or above if your HD is over 2 MB in size.
