Hi...
I just got an IBM 9.1 GHz ultra scsi (ddrs-391300. I bought it used so I don't have any documentation. And, I'm not a big scsi guy, so I could use a bit of help trying to get this puppy to work.
I think this is an 80 pin (at least, that's how many pins I counted on the connector).
Now, my server (which is an scsi drive system that I got 'cause they owed me money) has an AHA 2940U/W controller, but It only has a 50-pin male (internal with the current drive attached), a 68-pin female (internal, available) an a 68-pin female (external, available).
So, 1) can I use this drive with this adapter. 2) is there a 80 to 68 pin converter that I can use to adapt this drive. 3) Do I need active termination or LVD. 4) any other help would be so appreciated. I want to replace the current 2.1 Gig that is on the controller with this drive.
mucho grass..
