I have a Western Digital Caviar 21000 1083.8 MB drive and want to add a second one. The second drive is identical to the first one, right down to the date of manufacture(1 month apart). I have a pentium-mmx computer @ 166 mhz running windows 95 which is on the first hard drive. It boots window95 from this drive. I noticed the J8 jumper on the first drive is from 2 to 4 if I read the pins correctly. The second drive has no jumpers attached (none). What procedure do I have to do to get both twins working. Do I have to set the CMOS settings in the BIOS to recognize the second drive? Do I make the first drive the primary drive and the second the slave? How do I do that? Do I have to set the jumper settings for the second drive? I have a award software BIOS 1995. DO I perform a partition? Make the first drive the C: drive and the second the D: drive. Do I have to do a Fdisk command in DOS window or from win 95 (add new hardware) will take it from there? I know I asked a lot of questions, any help or procedure would be greatly appreciated.
