I've got a B/W G3 with an adaptec SCSI card installed. I decided to add a 2 gig SCSI drive out of a UMAX Pulsar Mac clone.
I secured it to the drive carrier and plugged in the power connector that is also used as the power coonector to the ATA drive. I then used a ribbon cable to connect the SCSI drive to the Adaptec card, but when I restarted the machine couldn't get to the "welcome to Macintosh screen. I think it had started, but I didn't even get the blinking folder icon.
