Just purchased Presario 18XL with pre installed Windows ME - As this operating system does not support some of my needed DOS based software, I want to partition the hard drive to add the Windows 98 O/S that does work with my software. As the Win ME included on the recovery CD contains all the drivers used by the notebook, I cannot just install Win 98 and Clet it go. If anyone has partitioned the Compaq 18XL, please let me know the steps taken.
