You must look about the power (the voltage) is going to your hard drive.
Look about the strength of your power supply because if you have many devices into your computer the processor doesn't takes the right voltage,and many problems like the one you describe appears.
: I am on my 3rd IBM 45G ATA 100 drive on a Dell Dimension 733 RDRAM system. Symptoms were clicking followed by error message that system couldn't find hard drive. Tech. support says there is no other problem causing the drives to go out. Any other ideas?
