unable to partition Micropolis 1991 SCSI drive

This drive is a 9gig SCSI-2 drive. I have it set up as an external drive
using a SLIMSCSI 1460 card in my notebook to manage the SCSI chain.
In NT4, I can see the drive in disk manager, but when I try to partition it,
it is unable to complete the task.

I have had a JAZ drive in the chain after it and used its termination and I can work with the JAZ
drive, but still not the Micropolis. The vendor says it must be the termination, but i it wasn't terminated
would I even see it in Disk Manager?

The tech spec here on the.tech.page does not match the machine (there is no W5, W6 and W8 that I can find), so I am not sure how to set the drives oown termination.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
