Cheers, the BIOS is seeing the HDD Drive automatically! The problem occurs when the computer begins to load the DMI pool. I suppose I can't trust the HDD to be configured automatically properly, but I'm not entirely sure how to configure it manually.
What should happen when everything does work what happens just before you install the OS?
Any more ideas
Thank you very, very much by the way. I'd buy you a beer, but I think you're in the states!

YOU DIDN'T MENTION IF IT WOULD DETECT IT IN BIOS
: SET UP,IT HAS TO DETECT IT BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE CAN HAPPEN,
: AFTER GOING IN BIOS SETUP,DETECTING THE HD,THEN FDISKING IT,, CREATING PARTITIONS,AND SETTING
: FIRST PARTITION ACTIVE,, THEN FORMATTING AND
: SYSTOMING IT THEN IT WILL WORK,
: IF YOUR BIOS WON'T SEE THE HARD DRIVE,, THE BIOS
: MAY BE TOO OLD,,A PENTUM 233 WOULD ONLY
: [ SEE ] AN 8 GIG HD WITH OUT A BIOS UP GRADE OR
: CHANGING OUT THE BOARD,WHICH WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA,,
: UNDER$100 FOR MODERN BOARD THAT SUPPORTS ATA 100
: WITHOUT USING AN ADD ON CARD,THEN YOU COULD USE
: ONE OF THE NEW 60 GIG HD'S UNDER$200
