: Have an HP Pavilion 6460 PII 400 w/9.6gb ultraDMA HD that's failing. Planning to replace it with an ultraATA/100 HD. Something I've read suggests that to get the benefit of the 100mb/sec speed I need a PCI controller card for the ATA/100. Is that right? Is it worth the investment on a home PC not heavily used for gaming?
