Recycling old SCSI disks from Sun to Mac...

I took 2 SCSI Disks out of an old Sun Station (360Mb an 1.2Gb). I want to use them on my old Mac IIci... They are both from Seagate. The bigger is a ST41200N. I tried to format and mount them with some apps, but with no success. Apple DiskSetup Utility doesn't support it... and FWB Hard Disk Toolkit detects a zero block drive... and so doesn't want to write anything on it. Externally, everything seems to be OK: the disk seems to be rotating, MountEverything detects the drive (but it is not ready). Does the "zero block" hint mean that my drive is dead ? Some people told me to use Hard Disk Speed Tools from Intech, some other, Anubis from Charismac. I won't buy those until I'm sure they will really do a better job than HDT...

Any idea?

Thanks, Bapts
