1.How did you "copy" the contents of the old drive ? You need to use a special copy procedure or a utility like Norton Ghost, Partition Magic or XXCOPY. 2. Did you make the primary partition on the new drive active using fdidk ?
: I have a Pentium II with NT4 o/s. I took out the hard disk C (2GB in size) and copied its contents to a new primary partition of 3.5GB in a new Maxtor 15GB drive in another computer. I did all the correct jumper settings and installed the new 15GB drive in the Pentium II machine but it refuses to boot up saying that it cannot find anything bootable in the Primary hard disk. BIOS recognises the new drive as primary. What can be wrong?
