ATA66 with ATA100 drive

I presently have an ATA66 drive and card. I want to
add a second drive. Given that good deals are
available on ATA100 drive/card combinations, I am
thinking of going with this. Question is... can I
remove the ATA66 card, replace it with the ATA100
card and then connect both drives to the new card?
Said another way...can you connect an ATA66 drive to
a ATA100 card (and get ATA66 performance)? I figure
to use the older drive as the slave.
