: I recently constructed a computer with a 15.3 gig WD hard drive. Upon installing Windows ME on the HD I noticed the hard drive was partitioned into two drives 1.99 gig each and nothing after. I want my OS on the 1.99 gig . However, I want my second drive set at 10 gig. I have removed one partion and now have a 2gig (drive c) and an extended partition (no letter designation). How do I designate a letter to this section? I'm running Windows ME.
: Thanx.
You need to create logical partiton over the extended partition. In case you want a 10 gig partition you must run the fdisk in fat32 mode, that's to say, in the first screen asking you if run it in compatibility mode tel it "yes". After that you only have to create a logical partition using all the spacce available.
