I just bought a new IBM 6.4GB hard drive for my sons computer. I installed the drive and turned on the computer and the hard drive makes a loud clicking noise. I know I have to install an OS on the drive, but is the noise normal for a hard drive that is brand new with no OS loaded on it yet? By the way the computer POST with no problem, it's just the hard drive noise that I'm concerned with.
