hi out there,
i want to replace the harddisk of my notebook, a 3gb
hitachi disk with an ata-3 interface with a 10gb ibm
djas210 with an ata-4 interface.
would be fine, if someone could give me a hint, that
the different interfaces are matching in their
connectors.
i know the ibm harddisk supports udma/4, but the
board only supports udma/2.
maybe it is similar to the 3,5"-harddisks, where you
need only another connector-cable (80-pin instead of
40 pin) to get the benefit of udma/4.
sorry for my weak english and thanks in advance.
