I picked up a beautifull old HP hard drive that has 16 J pin rows. I can get it to start up by syncing the spindel to power start up....But? Found the J pin schematic on HP's site. Don't really understand it all though. Using HDT primer software or the Apple 8.5 Drive setup, the drive is never ready when the scsi bus is scanned. Cant seem to wake it up for formatting. This drive is a couple of gig so It's worthwhile. Anyone with any J pin description analysis experience please E-mail me at Codestar7@aol.com.....Thanks guys.
P.S. Could really use some cheap SCA to SCSI adapters too.
